Melbourne Convention & Exhibition Centre (MCEC) is located on the banks of the Yarra River in Melbourne’s CBD, and is one of the most iconic buildings in Melbourne. MCEC are working with the Victorian government to increase the sustainability of their building and operations and reached out to TSLC for assistance with this endeavour.
Designed by our landscape architects, our skilled landscaping team constructed this food courtyard at MCEC, where Biofilta’s modular urban farming system has instantly transformed a high-profile inner-city space into a biodiverse, productive urban oasis, herb farm and mini orchard!
This is a great example where the skills of our team in concert with the Australian designed and manufactured Foodcube wicking bed system have introduced biodiversity, urban greening and urban farming to an underutilised courtyard space, creating a productive urban space for people to gather, with the community and staff to benefit.
